Eosinophilia

You may be consulted on the inpatient service for eosinophilia with concern for EGPA. The CHINA mnemonic is a well known one for conditions that cause eosinophilia. We have expanded it to include the ones to know for rheumatology. Other to keep in mind are primary hypereosinophilic synromes and acute and chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, which can sometimes look similar to EGPA. Medications are also a large culprit for eosinophilia - think DRESS from allopurinol.
