ANCA Antibodies
Although a positive ANCA antibody makes us think ANCA vasculitis, it is important to know that the ANCA antibody can be positive in many situations. This is important to keep a broad differential diagnosis, and not anchor on ANCA vasculitis. Something else to keep in mind is that these generalization are not 'set in stone.' Fro example, not all patients with EGPA are mpo+, a minority of them are pr3+. You can also have seronegative ANCA vasculitis!
